That's a good question though...

[he lets his head rest back down on the ground as he thinks about it, a ghost of a frown drifting across his lips. Every day on the island had been sunny, and more often than not, terrible things happened under the summer sun. But hurricanes had swept through the base only a few weeks ago, and that had been pretty terrible in its own right.]

I guess... I'd rather be inside during a rainy day and outside during a sunny day? A nice mix of both instead of one or the other.

I'd like to wake up early and greet the sun! The sky is really pretty when it rises, like a great big canvas. Although stars are gorgeous too. Oh, this is hard...

[He laughs, picking his head up again so he can watch her think and keeping his arms wrapped comfortably around her. Maybe he should... no, that would be too corny. He can't ask her if she wants to watch a sunrise with him, no way.]

I don't usually wake up in time for sunrise, but... I bet it looks amazing over the ocean.

It's amazing! I like to sit on the beach and watch it. Which is probably going to be a lot easier now that we have an island at the base...

[He relaxes back down again, closing his eyes with a quiet, contented sigh. Making plans like this is just a weird kind of comfort for him, a reassurance that they'll both be here to do these kinds of things.]

I guess if you stay up late enough, you can watch the stars and the sunrise, huh?

It's a very quiet moment here. I did it back home, but I lived in the city so you'd always hear the hum of everything going on, even late at night. But here it's all hush hush.

[ hajime places a hand over her lips, and then keeps talking. ] I like both. Tachikawa is so alive but so is this planet, but in different ways! And you can see the stars so clearly here, and there's this nice rush you get watching them melt into golds and blues.

[He hums, listening to her speak and trying to picture what the sunrise over his own hometown looked like. It feels like it's been so long since he's seen anything like that; Jabberwock Island had been almost as foreign a setting to him as this planet.

His grip around her tightens, just a hair, as he tries to fight back another wave of homesickness. He misses the bustle of cities sometimes, the simple things like walking to a convenience store, or studying at the library. Even just riding the train.]

Do you miss it...? [he asks quietly, opening his eyes to glance at her again.] Tachikawa?

Of course, it's my home.

[ hajime lets her hand drop from her lips, and she rests her head against hinata's chest. ]

I miss everyone there. And I really need to make sure Katze-san isn't causing any trouble. I thought they came here with me at first, but there's no way they'd be able to stay hidden for this long.

[ just little hajime things: completely forgets she has never actually explained who the heck katze is to him. ]

[When she rests her head on his chest, he sighs quietly and wavers for a moment, thinking about trying to bring one hand up to stroke through her hair. But... maybe later. He doesn't have enough courage to try something like that right now, afraid of ruining the moment.

Which could be ruined at any second by the Countess or Souda, lbr, but still.]

"Katze-san"? [he repeats, blinking once. He doesn't remember hearing about something named that before!]

Katze-san is an alien who's a little naughty, so I was keeping a close eye on them. But when I came here I somehow showed up alone!
