he's unstable

i've always known it but i thought maybe with enough time, away from the horrors of jabberwock island, maybe i'd be able to help him
maybe if we could cure or slow his disease, i could help him
maybe if i could get him to trust in my own "luck" he'd be able to finally relax, let himself have friends and just enjoy spending time with people

i thought i could finally trust him
but his life experiences are so far outside the norm that i can't let my guard down
i know what he was trying to do, just like i know he wouldn't have actually hurt karkat or damaged anything of any real importance

he's crazy, but he's not a monster. not really. as hard as he can be to understand, i know he's a good person.

i'll take full responsibility for his actions in the future. as messed up as he is, he's my friend.
