Theoretically, yes. But from what you said, his relation with luck would mean that doesn't matter.
That said, we also have someone who has a connection to luck. Dave's sister Rose has the game role of Seer of Light, with Light being the game's fanciful term for luck. Like I'm a God of selfhood, she's a God of fortune.
She can't manipulate her aspect. That would probably require a Witch class Light player. But she can perceive and guide towards the path that is most fortunate. Hers is generally advice to trust in.
I can ask Rose what path to take regarding Komaeda's arm that would be most fortunate for us. We can see and follow the ideal path regardless of how the luck breaks.
