people use water beds to go camping for all those reasons. it's more sanitary than a futon. but you've got a point about the futons, i think, that they'd be easier for newcomers at least. maybe we could make small temporary bedrolls?

i don't mind volunteering mine for a model. i'm not using it to sleep, that's for sure.

yeah. even if we get the rooms all finished, i'm not too sure about bothering to standardize furniture for them i mean, there's still people who just sleep in the observatories, anyway.

i think the most important thing is making sure it doesn't leak. we'd need some kind of waterproof lining or coating.

which brings us back to rubber not being a fabric. i'll see what i can make

what about some synthetic canvas or tarp? i'll bring the prototype [his bed] down whenever you need it.

yeah, that's a good idea. i'll start with stuff like that and then we can figure out what'll work and what won't.
